 Haverford School's Quinn Luong is Main Line Student of the Week - Feb. 21, 2021   To read the article on Quinn Luong click here     A junior at The Haverford School, Quinn Luong is the co-founder of the Pan-Asian Alliance, and was recently elected as the co-chair of the Diversity Alliance on campus. Luong received a Certificate of Accomplishment from the Princeton Prize of Race Relations recognizing the important work the Pan-Asian Alliance has done to foster positive race relations and to make Haverford a diverse space that connects and educates students. He is also a recipient of the School’s Thomas Allerton Newhall Memorial Prize. Luong is a member of Haverford’s Model UN team, and won Best Delegate at the Johns Hopkins Model UN Conference. He is the news editor of the School’s newspaper The Index and received a Silver Key in Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for his journalism piece.  Villa Maria Academy's Micaela Shackleford is Main Line Student of the Week - Feb. 14, 2021   To  view the article on Micaela Shackleford click here    A senior at Villa Maria, Micaela Shackleford is the school’s Mission and Ministry Service Leadership Team President and its Student Integrity Committee Co-President. She also is a member of Villa Maria’s Marian Masques Leadership Team and SpeakUp Student Leadership Team and is Vice President of the school’s French Honors Society. She has placed in the top 10 in the National French Contest in both 2018 and 2019. Shackleford is a member of Villa Maria’s Madrigals and Chorus and the school’s Music Ministry as well as the Malvern Theater Society. She is also an accomplished baton twirler who performs at Villa Maria and Malvern Prep events, and has finished first in her division at several national and international events.

 Merion Mercy Academy's Grace Del Pizzo is Main Line Student of the Week - February 7, 2021   To read the article on Grace Del Pizzo click here     The Merion Mercy Academy senior participated in the 2019 KYW Newstudies program, and wrote her own news story which aired on KYW on Dec. 1, 2019. As a result of her story, she was awarded a Richard Monetti Scholarship, given to the student who shows the most promise to encourage them to continue in the field. A Diocesan Scholar and National Merit Semifinalist, Del Pizzo is a Distinguished Honors student and has received honorable recognition in the National French Contest two years in a row. She is a member of the National Honors Society, Math Honors Society, French Honors Society, Tri-M Music Honors Society and Rho Kappa. Del Pizzo is co-president of Sirens of Baggot Street and has participated in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards leadership program.
