 Villa Maria Academy’s Kaitlin Maguire is Main Line Student of the Week (Feb. 19-25) To read the article on Kaitlin Maguire click here A junior at Villa Maria Academy, Kaitlin Maguire is historian for the school’s chapter of the International Tri-M Music Honor Society and for the last three years has been selected for All Catholic Orchestra. She plays viola in Villa’s orchestra and string ensemble and is a member of Villa’s handbell choir. Maguire also is a member of the Forensics Speech and Debate Team, Student Integrity Committee, Tech Club and Esports Initiative.

 Episcopal Academy's Ronak Nagar is Main Line Student of the Week (Feb. 12-18) To read the article on Ronak Nagar click here Ronak Nagar, a senior at Episcopal Academy, is the captain of EA’s CyberQuest competition team, founder of the Cyber Security Club, and is involved with Student Council as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion representative for his class. He was awarded the prestigious Lilley Advanced Independent Study Scholar where he is conducting research on an AI model that is designed to detect cyberbullying. Ronak captains the varsity boys’ squash team, and on Feb. 1st he won the deciding match in EA’s win against Haverford School that gave the Churchmen their first Inter-Ac squash title since 2018. She is a Community Service Corp. representative, a Service and Social Action Sophie Scholar and a Goal III Distinction Project Participant. Keffer also is a member of Daughters of Christ Club, Songs from Above Club, the school’s Choir, an actress in the Spring Musical and a runner on Sacred Heart’s cross country and track & field squads.

 Agnes Irwin School’s Autumn Messner is Main Line Student of the Week (Jan. 29-Feb. 4) To read the article on Autumn Messner click here A senior at The Agnes Irwin School, Autumn Messner is captain of the school’s Robotics Team, Head of Honor Council, Head of Dungeons and Dragons Club and Co-Head of the Middle Eastern Student Alliance. Her parents are from Turkey, and she has done quite a lot of work with the Middle Eastern Student Alliance to raise money after the earthquake there last year. For the past two summers, she has worked as an intern at the U.N. affiliated Habitat Association, a financial literacy project helping Turkish women.

 Merion Mercy Academy’s Justine Weng is Main Line Student of the Week (Jan. 22-28) To read the article on Justine Weng click here A junior at Merion Mercy, Justine Weng is a member of National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Blue Key Society and Rho Kappa Honor Society. She also belongs to Student Diversity Leadership Team, Varsity Mathletes, ASIA (affinity group), Mock Trial (two-time district champions), Student Council, Image Explosion (literary magazine) and Ricordia (school newspaper). She was Highly Commended at the ScienceBees UK Intermediate Biology Olympiad and received the Bronze Award for the ScienceBees UK Biology Challenge. She also performs calligraphy, and started her own club, Calligraphy Club.

 Academy of Notre Dame's Mary Rossano is Main Line Student of the Week (Jan. 15-21) To read the article on Mary Rossano click here A junior at the Academy of Notre Dame, Mary Rossano not only received the top score of 5 but was also one of only 48 students in the world to earn every point possible on the AP United States Government and Politics Exam, receiving the maximum score on each portion of the exam. Rossano is a member of Academy of Notre Dame’s Robotics team, which competed at the 2023 Greater Philadelphia SeaPerch Challenge last spring. The team received the Vehicle Performance Award, Captain Class, 2nd Place, and the Overall Champion, Captain Class, 2nd Place, and the Women in Defense Liberty Chapter 2023 SeaPerch Challenge Award, given to a team for outstanding team innovation in the SeaPerch engineering design, build and demonstration of aquatic robotics. She also received a gold medal on the National Spanish Exam last spring and is a member of the varsity cross country

 The Grayson School’s Wren LaFiandra is Main Line Student of the Week (Jan. 8-14) To read the article on Wren LaFiandra click here Wren LaFiandra, a senior at The Grayson School, is a member of Delta Epsilon Phi, a national honor society for students of German. LaFiandra completed two years of German language study in one year and is currently writing a German-language comparative essay discussing the implications of ideas found in Schiller’s first nine aesthetic letters and Kant’s essays on enlightenment. LaFiandra is leader of the Woods Team for the spring 2023 musical production of Into the Woods, designing and constructing sets, delegating tasks to team members, ordering parts, and directing cues for stage right; and leader of the Rue Plumet Gate stage crew for the spring 2022 musical production of Les Misérables directing cues and set changes. She received a Recognition of Excellence award from the Tri-M International Honor Society.
