 Holy Child School at Rosemont's Michael Abboud is Main Line Student of the Week - Feb. 27, 2022 To read the article on Michael Abboud click here    An 8th grader at Holy Child School at Rosemont, Michael Abboud is an active leader in the community. He has served on Student Council, and participates in many service projects that collect food, toiletries, books, and clothing for people in need connected with the Patrician Society. Michael Abboud is a Student Ambassador, providing tours to prospective students and families, and a multi-sport athlete on the school’s football and basketball teams.  

 Malvern Prep's Joe Bucci is Main Line Boys Athlete of the Week - Feb. 20, 2022 To read the article on Joe Bucci click here    A senior at Malvern Prep, Joey Bucci, is Co-Founder of the school’s CSItizen Speaker Series, a program highlighting various national/international topics with big name speakers such as Wes Moore and David Hogg. The proceeds of this program were used to help endow a scholarship program at Malvern. Last December, he was one of seven seniors who received the Advanced Credential Award at Malvern Prep. Bucci has participated in various volunteer opportunities through his mother’s nonprofit organization, Connect Thru Cancer. He also plays lacrosse for Malvern Prep.  

 Haverford School's John Zhang is Main Line Student of the Week - Feb. 13, 2022 To read the article on John Zhang click here     A senior at The Haverford School, John Zhang is Co-President of both Peer Counseling and the Mindfulness Club at the school. He is an actor, writer and ensemble member of Haverford School Theater Productions, and is a Human Relationships Fellow and a tour guide at the school. Zhang was Student Council Class President his junior year. He was a Philadelphia Committee delegate at the Harvard Association Cultivating Inter-American Democracy and attended the Wharton Summer Business Leadership Academy at the University of Pennsylvania. He is Chairman of the Honor Council at The Haverford School and Senior Prefect of the Signet Society. Zhang is a National Merit Commended Scholar, helped the Haverford School squash team win the Mid-Atlantic Squash Association championship and has won numerous regattas.  Academy of Notre Dame's Dani Laverty is Main Line Student of the Week - Feb. 6, 2022  To read the article on Dani Laverty click here     A senior at Academy of Notre Dame, Dani Laverty serves on the TechGirlz Teen Advisory Board in the Philadelphia metro area to help expose more girls to the STEM world. During the pandemic, she taught a “Designing Mobile Apps” workshop and helped work on an informative video about the organization. Laverty works as a volunteer at Divine Providence Village and is an official pen pal with one of the residents, and last summer worked as a volunteer for the Delco Citizen Corp to help with vaccine distribution. She has been Irish Dancing since age 5 and competes both as a soloist and on a team. Laverty placed 21st in the mid-Atlantic region last fall, qualifying for nationals in Montreal next summer (she placed in the top 50 at nationals last summer).
