In 2017, she started an on-campus summer garden to grow food for Chester County food banks, and she also helped start a rock climbing club at Villa Maria. She participates in Girls in Medicine, a student-mentor program, as well as High 5 Soccer, a buddy program for players with special needs.

He was a second-place finisher in the 2018 Hospitality Services of DECA competition, which made him eligible to compete at DECA’s International Career Development Conference in April, and he has qualified for states in entrepreneurship team decision making. He has been a leader for Shipley in the Science Olympiad throughout his high school career and was a key player in starting the school’s Investment/Predictive Analytics Club, of which he is vice president.

Episcopal Academy's Praneeth Alla is Main Line Student of the Week - January 13, 2019 To read the article on Praneeth Alla, click here A senior at Episcopal Academy, Praneeth Alla is the co-founder of Peerlift, a nonprofit organization that helps low-income and first-generation students gain access to internships, scholarships, college fly-in programs and summer learning opportunities. Alla is involved with several volunteer groups, including the NRI Youth Club, which organizes service projects in India. Alla has set up 33 digital classrooms in a village in India where his father grew up. He is a youth leader of the Diwali Food Drive, which helped collect and distribute 175,000 pounds of food to the local community. At EA, Alla is the president of the Launch X Entrepreneurship Club, an executive member of the Community Service Board and a member of Model UN and has won three awards with Future Business Leaders of America. Valley Forge Military Academy's Ryan Saurborn is Main Line Student of the Week - January 6, 2019 To read the article on Ryan Saurborn click here Ryan Saurborn, a senior at Valley Forge Military Academy, is the recipient of the Harvey Medal for Math 2nd Class, presented to a cadet in the 2nd Class who excels in the area of mathematics; the Parents Association Chemistry Book Award, presented to that cadet who achieved the highest average in the study of chemistry; and the Good Citizenship Award, awarded by the Union League in Philadelphia to a student in recognition of his efforts as a good citizen within the community. He has also achieved placement on the Gold Star Honor Roll for a general academic average of at least 93 percent with no subject less than 80 percent.
