Sacred Heart Academy's Kathryn Gleeson is Main Line Student of the Week - March 29, 2020 To read the article on Kathryn Gleeson click here A junior at Sacred Heart Academy, Kathryn Gleeson takes AP and honors classes, and is a leader of the Community Service Corps at Sacred Heart, helping to organize and encourage participation in drives and initiatives throughout the school year. She regularly volunteers her time tutoring through Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. She was also selected to be a junior Kairos leader this year, and she will spend the next year preparing the retreat for her own classmates to experience and enjoy. Gleeson is a two-sport athlete at Sacred Heart, playing field hockey and crew.

Merion Mercy Academy's Ceara Grady is Main Line Student of the Week - March 22, 2020 To read the article on Ceara Grady click here A senior, Ceara Grady is a member of MMA’s National Honor Society executive board, which organizes service opportunities for the society’s members and the school community. Grady is a member of the Math Honors Society, Science Honors Society, Latin Honors Society and Social Studies Honors Society. She is also a member of MMA’s Ministry Team, Core Team and Current Events Club. A three-sport athlete, Grady is a captain of MMA’s volleyball and track teams.

Haverford School's Baoer Li is Main Line Student of the Week - March 15, 2020 To read the article on Baoer Li click here A junior, Baoer Li recently created International Student Alliance, an affinity group for international students at The Haverford School. Li is also part of the Pan-Asian Alliance club on campus. Academically, he received the British Biology Olympiad Silver Award in 10th grade, and was declared the winner of the Delaware Valley Science Fair for his project titled “Software Developers’ Response to the Unethical coding Task Request” last year. Outside of school, Li conducts research at the radiology lab at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania, and has developed an early detection of knee osteoarthritis. Li founded Qmaxis, a private brand company for material testing supplies, and has developed partnerships and partnered with research institutes to grow his brand. He’s a founder of Penn Chinese Healthcare and Intercultural pre-Medical Engagem

Villa Maria Academy's Katie Regan is Main Line Student of the Week - March 8, 2020 To read the article on Katie Regan click here A senior at Villa Maria, Katie Regan is a member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society and Latin Honor Society. She is also Co-President of the Latin Club at Villa Maria. Regan is a recipient of the school’s Chemistry Award and Theology Award for having the highest average in her class. For her Capstone project, Regan is investigating the best kind of filling for one’s teeth, as she is interested in pursuing a dental career. A fine athlete, Regan is a captain of the cross-country and swimming teams, and was a key part of the Hurricanes’ fine performance at Districts Feb. 27-28. Every summer, she participates in 5-10 triathlons.

Valley Forge Military Academy's George Houzouris is Main Line Student of the Week - March 1, 2020 To read the article on George Houzouris click here The senior is a Cadet First Lieutenant and Regimental Band Executive Officer, and was named the Best Cadet of the Month in back-to-back months (September and October 2018). A member of the Gold Star Honor Roll in both 2018 and 2019, he has received The Blessing Medal, which is awarded to the 2nd classman (junior) with the highest grade-point average for that year. Houzouris also has received the prestigious Herald Trumpets Badge, the Cadet Commendation Ribbon, The Good Citizenship Award, The Harvey Medal for Math 2nd Class and Dean of the Academy Medal. He also is the VFMA Student Council Treasurer.
