 Episcopal Academy's Kush Mishra is Main Line Student of the Week - April 17, 2022 To read the article on Kush Mishra click here    A junior at Episcopal Academy, Kush Mishra recently finished in first place in the regional round of the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) and The Exceptional Analysis Award for his work – Foreign Substances’ Effect on the Magnus Effect of Baseballs – which measured the impact substances have on the vertical rise of a baseball. Last year, he finished first in the regional FBLA competition for his research on cyber security. For the past three years, Kush has been a summer intern with local non-profit, Philadelphia Futures, which supports low-income and first-generation students to and through college. Kush reported to the organization’s CEO as a rising freshman grader and was the youngest intern in the organization’s history. Kush is a member of EA’s Astronomy Club, Save the Planet Club, Chemistry Club, along with PJAS and FBLA.

 Academy of Notre Dame's Maddie Evans is Main Line Student of the Week - April 10, 2022 To read the article on Maddie Evans click here     A junior at Academy of Notre Dame, Maddie Evans established a new club at Notre Dame, Bring Change to Mind (BC2M) Club, and its main priority is to end the stigma that can be associated with mental health. BC2M is a national organization founded by Glenn Close in 2009, with the goal of ending the stigma around mental health. The club gives teenagers the platform to share their voices and raise awareness around mental health. Evans is also a student leader for the ND’s chapter of SpeakUp! helping to establish topics for students and parents to discuss. She is one of just 10 juniors who was selected to participate in Ignite Change, a four-week intensive leadership program in February that was taught by Villanova professor Karen Graziano and had students dig deeper into their leadership traits and learn about change management and profe

 Shipley's Srijan Velamuri is Main Line Student of the Week - April 3, 2022 To read the article on Srijan Velamuri click here    A junior at The Shipley School, Srijan Velamuri is active in the school’s Environmental Sustainability Committee, and circulated a petition to save endangered salmon in the Pacific Northwest. He returned to Shipley for his junior year after spending part of his freshman year and all of his sophomore year in Toronto. Velamuri is currently taking six courses, holds a 5.18 GPA, is a Math Peer Tutor and is a member of Shipley Singers and Glee Club.

 Sacred Heart Academy's Regan Dougherty is Main Line Student of the Week - March 27, 2022 To read the article on Regan Dougherty click here     A junior at Sacred Heart Academy, Regan Dougherty is the school’s Class of 2023 President, and co-founder of the student club Equity Initiative, which focuses on understanding issues of inequity. She also is a Student Dialogue Leader and a SpeakUp! leader. Dougherty is a Sacred Heart Commission on Goals Student Liaison, as well as a member of Sacred Heart Network Dialogue, the school choir, and the varsity basketball team, which recently won its sixth consecutive District 1 title.
