Episcopal Academy's Jocelyn Andrews is Main Line Student of the Week - Sept. 29, 2019 To read the article on Jocelyn Andrews click here Jocelyn Andrews, a senior at EA, spent the summer conducting cancer immunotherapy research at the University of Pennsylvania. She is the president of EA’s PJAS chapter (Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Sciences) and has won first place at the annual PJAS competition the last three years. Andrews performs weekly tutoring at the ACLAMO after-school tutoring program, competes on EA’s Mock Trial team, is a member of EA’s Vestry and plays on the varsity field hockey team. She has taken both Chinese (Honor Society) and Latin (Maxima Cum Laude Award) and is a National Merit Scholar semifinalist. She also participates in a non-for-profit fellowship, the Germination Project.

Haverford School's Sebastian Bilash is Main Line Student of the Week - Sept. 22, 2019 To read the article on Sebastian Bilash click here A senior, Sebastian Bilash is a World Science Scholar, one of only 45 scholars selected from a worldwide applicant pool. As a member, he participates in lectures and sessions (hosted online) by leading scientists and mathematicians, and is doing his own self-study project. At The Haverford School, Bilash is part of the cross-country and track teams. He’s also a founding member of the Thorns and Noble Book Club, which provided students to discuss high-level books with teachers during a lunch period. Bilash is also a volunteer at The Grayson School, where he works as a lead instructor for their Computer Engineering Classes in the summer. Bilash was named a Davidson Institute Young Scholar in 2011, which recognizes gifted young scholars around the country. He also received the Grand Recognition Medal from the Duke TIP Talent Search

Villa Maria Academy's Allie Bielli is Main Line Student of the Week - Sept. 15, 2019 To read the article on Allie Bielli click here A senior, Allie Bielli was selected as a member of the Girls Advisory Board for the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls. At Villa Maria, she is a member of Madrigals Singers, a select ensemble chosen by audition; the Concert Chorus; Tri-M Music Honors Society; the Pop Rock Band Club; and Music Ministry. She is also taking two dual enrollment courses through Immaculata for college credit – data analytics and world religions.

Malvern Prep's Brendan Taylor is Main Line Student of the Week - June 2, 2019 To read the article on Brendan Taylor click here A junior at Malvern Prep, Brendan Taylor is a member of the Science National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Social Studies National Honor Society. Through the Social Studies National Honor Society, Taylor is working on a project that deals with the history of educational reform and the way in which reform has been integrated into the teaching methods at Malvern Prep. Through his Social Entrepreneurship Class, he is part of a peer mentoring program designed to connect Upper School Students with students from the Middle School. Taylor is a member of Student Council, SpeakUp! and the Stock Market Club. He also is a member of the Malvern Prep baseball team and recently threw a no-hitter against Penncrest. Taylor comes from a Malvern Prep family - his father and two brothers also attended the school.
