 Haverford School's Mitav Nayak is Main Line Student of the Week - Oct. 24, 2021   To read the article on Mitav Nayak click here     A senior at The Haverford School, Mitav Nayak serves as the 2021-22 Student Body President. He also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of The Index (school newspaper), Editor-in-Chief & Designer in Chief of Newton’s Notebook (school STEM journal), and Model UN President. Nayak is also the Jazz Band President, the Math Club President, and the founder and president of the Economics/Stock Market Club and the Science Club. He is also a member of the Cum Laude Society (highest academic honor) and the Hephaestus Society (highest extracurricular honor).  Merion Mercy Academy's Olivia Tingley-Kelley is Main Line Student of the Week - Oct. 17, 2021   To read the article on Olivia Tingley-Kelley click here     A senior at Merion Mercy, Olivia Tingley-Kelley is a member of the Latin, Mathematics, and Social Studies Honors Societies, was a Gold Medalist on the National Latin I Exam, and is Recording secretary for the Catherine McAuley Chapter of the National Honor Society. She was the winner of the 2021 local division of the VFW “Voice of Democracy” Competition, and has been a member of Merion Mercy’s Student Council for the past four years. She is a varsity member of Merion Mercy Mock Trial, a team that was 2021 District Champions, among the top three teams in the region and the top 10 in Pennsylvania.  Malvern Prep's Vijay Ramakrishnan is Main Line Student of the Week - Oct. 10, 2021 To read the article on Vijay Ramakrishnan click here    A senior at Malvern Prep, Vijay Ramakrishnan is a spiritual leader with MECO, Malvernians Encountering Christ in Others. He is also a math tutor at Malvern Prep, and a member of the school’s Adelphia Society, whose members serve as “big brothers” to incoming Malvern freshmen. He is currently working on a paper (in conjunction with a Harvard professor) on the effect of the COVID-19 vaccine patents have had on the availability and accessibility vaccine to under-developed countries. He is a standout rower for Malvern’s varsity crew team. Outside of Malvern, he has served as a student representative for Lower Providence Township.

 Baldwin School's Krisangi Bhargava is Main Line Student of the Week - Oct. 3, 2021   To read the article on Krisangi Bhargava click here     A senior at Baldwin School, last summer Krisangi Bhargava led, with a peer, an entrepreneurship camp for more than 40 middle school girls in partnership with Bryn Mawr College. She also participated in the Germination Project Fellowship in 2020. In 2019, she developed an independent research project through the Teen Research in Environmental Education and Science (TREES) program at the University of Pennsylvania regarding the impact of fracking on PA watersheds. In 2020, she was a member of the Congressional Youth Cabinet – District 5, where she worked under Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon in a bipartisan group. Bhargava also recently completed an 8 month IBM Quantum Computing Course.  Villa Maria Academy's Kim Adam is Main Line Student of the Week - Sept. 26, 2021 To read the article on Kim Adam click here     Kim Adam, a sophomore at Villa Maria, won Grand Prix in this year’s Music Fest Rising Talents Competition. She placed second in the Music of America Vocal Competition of the Great Composers Competition Series 2021, and was recently chosen as this year’s winner of the Tri-County Youth Festival for Voice – Senior Division. Adam won first prize in the Warminster Symphony Orchestra’s Young Artists Competition, which was an in-person audition in front of a distinguished panel of musicians, including the orchestra conductor. She finished second in the 2021 American Classical Young Musician Award contest, competing against musicians from nearly 40 countries – the award recognizes young performers with a strong artistic personality and stage presence.
