 Sacred Heart Academy's Emily Schlegel is Main Line Student of the Week - May 30, 2021   To read the article on Emily Schlegel click here     A junior at Sacred Heart Academy, Emily Schlegel is a National Honor Society member, and is a leader in the school’s SpeakUp! Program. She belongs to the schools’ Girls in Medicine club; is a member of the planning committee for No Place for Hate, a program which advocates for a safe environment for kids, and works to fight against bullying, discrimination, and harm to others; and plays field hockey for Sacred Heart. Schlegel dedicates much service time to children with special needs, and finds opportunities for ways to give back to the community, such as Project Ensonga. This summer, she will be volunteering at a summer program for children with speech and language impairments at the Phoebe Anna Thorne School in Bryn Mawr.

 Academy of Notre Dame's Isabella Langley is Main Line Student of the Week - May 23, 2021   To read the article on Isabella Langley click here     A senior at Academy of Notre Dame, Isabella Langley is a National Merit Commended Scholar. She’s taking four AP classes and is a member of the school’s Dance Company, which requires auditioning. Langley was is one of three students whose Semester 1 GPAs qualified her to represent the Notre Dame Class of 2021 at the 41st Annual Academic Honors Convocation and Prayer at the Cathedral Basilica of Ss. Peter and Paul May 18. A member of the Global Scholars program, she also belongs to Model UN, Diversity Club, Environmental Club, Spanish Club, Student Council, The Gates Newspaper, and Student Ambassadors.

 Villa Maria Academy's Carina Rose is Main Line Student of the Week - May 16, 2021   To read the article on Carina Rose click here    A senior at Villa Maria Academy, Carina Rose is a member of the National Honors Society, Math Honors Society and a National Merit Commended Student. She is Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper, Villa Voice, an executive of the Student Advisory Board and treasurer of Quill and Scroll. Rose is a member of the Student Integrity Committee and Mock Trial and is captain of Villa Maria’s crew team. As a member of the Villa Maria Academy tennis squad, she received second team All-Main Line honors for singles last fall.

 Merion Mercy Academy's Julia Flatley is Main Line Student of the Week - May 9, 2021   To read the article on Julia Flatley click here   A senior at Merion Mercy, Flatley is a member of MMA’s Mock Trial team that earned a regional and district championship (and advanced to the state competition this year), and has been a leader of the SpeakUp! Program for the past two years. She helped form Merion Mercy’s HEART (Hope Even At Rough Times) Club, and is a member of Chorale, Merion Mercy Music Theater, National Honor Society and National Music Honor Society. She was part of the school’s spring musical, Into the Woods, in April. She will be attending Fairfield University in the fall, where she will major in nursing.

 Episcopal Academy's Will Sargent is Main Line Student of the Week - May 2, 2021   To read the article on Will Sargent click here   A junior at Episcopal Academy, Will Sargent is a talented artist who works in several mediums. He fabricates his own textiles and taught himself Armenian lace making, and recently won two Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for painting and mixed media. Sargent is a member of EA’s select singing group, the Vocal Ensemble, was selected for the ACDA Honors Choir and is the editor of The Epolitan, an annually published arts and music magazine. He won a French award his freshman year, and is a member of the German Club and the Queer Straight Alliance. Sargent was selected for Global Youth Leadership Institute, which continues through all four years of Upper School. An avid runner, Sargent competes on EA’s cross country and track teams.
