Kailin Gao, a senior at Episcopal Academy, is an accomplished musician, dancer and student at EA. She plays first flute in the Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble where she also serves as a Student Conductor. Gao earned the Brown University Book Award during EA’s fall awards event. She was a fall inductee in the Cum Laude Society and is a Silver and Gold Key Scholastic Art and Writing medalist. She won fourth place in the National History Day State Round competition for her work analyzing Andy Warhol’s Pop Art and its impact to American culture/consumerism and Balanchine’s impact on American ballet. She was Winner/Finalist in the Youth American Grand Prix which is an international dance competition. She is also the founder of Steps to Ballet. Gao volunteers with the HuaXia Chinese School and is the president of EA’s Mandarin Club.
