 Shipley’s Charlie Cutler is Main Line Student of the Week (Dec. 16-22) To read the article on Charlie Cutler click here A senior at The Shipley School, Charlie Cutler is All-school President and Co-president and co-founder of Model UN at Shipley. Cutler has performed in lead roles in various musicals at Shipley, is co-anchor for Shipley TV (the school’s YouTube channel) and participates in Shipley Exchanges. He also is an admission ambassador who annually visits his alma mater, Holy Child School at Rosemont, with the admissions team to recruit students to Shipley. Cutler also can name every country in the world and identify both its capital and flag.

 Agnes Irwin's Laura Walters is Main Line Student of the Week (Dec. 9-15) To read the article on Laura Walters click here A senior at Agnes Irwin School, Laura Walters recently led a Founders Day assembly, is head of a capella group Bel Cantos and serves as co-head of the student-led organization FOCUS (Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools). Walters is also competitive in English discipline equestrian, and serves as volunteer student ministry leader at Church of the Saviour in Wayne. She has received Highest Honors each year at Agnes Irwin for her strong academic performance in rigorous courses, and was one of two students awarded the Honor Kilt last spring, which “recognizes young women of honor who exhibit the spirit of what it means to be Agnes Irwin girls in all they do.”  

Villa Maria Academy’s Brynn Washbourne is Main Line Student of the Week (Dec. 2-8)

 Villa Maria Academy’s Brynn Washbourne is Main Line Student of the Week (Dec. 2-8) To read the article on Brynn Washbourne click here A senior at Villa Maria Academy, Brynn Washbourne is Executive Secretary of Student Council, President of Villa Maria’s Theater Club and has the lead role in The Sound of Music musical production at Villa Maria. She also is editor of the school’s yearbook, as well as President of Villa Marketing Internship, President of Quill and Scroll, a Peer Minister and a Music Ministry Club member. Washbourne also participates in the Youth Leadership Program as a part of the Chester County Chamber of Commerce.

 The Grayson School’s Rena Civan is Main Line Student of the Week (Nov. 25- Dec. 1) To read the article on Rena Civan click here A senior at The Grayson School, Rena Civan is a National Merit Scholar semifinalist, and is the recipient of The Grayson School Engineering Award for her intricate and innovative projects, and resilience through failure for her work in designing and developing a pop-up book and functional prototypes for natural ink markers. In her freshman year, Civan was a finalist in the 13-14 category of the Desmos 2021 Global Math Art Contest for an animation of ducks migrating with the seasons created exclusively in the 2D graphing calculator tool. Since then, she has also created a playable Flappy Bird style game with the same duck character. She is a VEX Robotics team captain and mentors at Middle School VEX Team.
