 A senior at Episcopal Academy, Elizabeth Boruff is a Lilley Fellowship award recipient studying the viability of e-bikes in urban settings. She is co-president of the Girls in STEM Club, co-president of the Mandarin Club, and co-president of the Key Club. She is the General Manager of EA’s newspaper The Academy Scholium and an editor of the school magazine The Epolitan. She is on the executive board of EA’s Community Service Corps and co-chair of the Mutt Madness project in support of animals. Boruff is vice-president of computer science category within the PJAS (Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science) club, and two-time winner of the NCWIT prize regionally and nationally. She also is a part of EA’s Vocal Ensemble. She has also been on the varsity tennis team since her sophomore year. Last summer, she participated in research with the National Science Foundation on the ME-Bike Project at the University of Tennessee under her mentor Dr. Chris Cherry, and additionally held an internship with the PACS Food Bank.
