 Episcopal Academy's Krissie Essilfie is Main Line Student of the Week - May 24, 2020

A junior at Episcopal Academy, Krissie Essilfie was selected to be a prestigious EA 2020 Lilley Fellow. Her fellowship research topic is the effectiveness of international peace support operations in aiding humanitarian crisis, and her case study will focus on the Lake Chad Basin in northeastern Nigeria. Essilfie also is an editor and writer for the school newspaper (The Scholium), a Model UN participant and co-president of the Creative Writing Club. She is a member of the dance team, EA’s cross-country team and has been a key member of the Theater tech crew (lighting design) since her freshman year. During the past few summers, she has been a volunteer teaching assistant for the Horizon’s at EA Summer Program – this six-week program works with students from two Philadelphia schools to stop the so-called summer slide through academic enrichment.
