Haverford School's Baoer Li is Main Line Student of the Week - March 15, 2020

A junior, Baoer Li recently created International Student Alliance, an affinity group for international students at The Haverford School. Li is also part of the Pan-Asian Alliance club on campus. Academically, he received the British Biology Olympiad Silver Award in 10th grade, and was declared the winner of the Delaware Valley Science Fair for his project titled “Software Developers’ Response to the Unethical coding Task Request” last year. Outside of school, Li conducts research at the radiology lab at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania, and has developed an early detection of knee osteoarthritis. Li founded Qmaxis, a private brand company for material testing supplies, and has developed partnerships and partnered with research institutes to grow his brand. He’s a founder of Penn Chinese Healthcare and Intercultural pre-Medical Engagement (PennCHIME), whose purpose is to make future physicians more efficient when assisting the needs of people with diverse backgrounds. The company provides for medical students to shadow health care workers in Chinese hospitals. Li also tutors children in Mandarin and Chinese language and culture at the Northeast Academy of Philadelphia - he created the curricula, exams and homework for the organization.
