A senior, Fleitas has taken numerous honors courses at Agnes Irwin and two year ago enrolled in a pre-college medical summer program through the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC). In the past few years, enrolled in a pre-college medical summer program through the Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC). Last spring, Fleitas raised money for medical research by joining an arm of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s annual “Student of the Year” contest. With a team of peers, she raised an unprecedented $68,000-plus in only six weeks, netting her AIS’s Bradford Fogarty Award for community service. She is a member of the ECO (Environmental) Board and the Sustainable Living Club, World Affairs Council, and has contributed to the school newspaper, The Wick. She also serves as a Head Tour Guide at AIS, and has served as a PAL mentor to an Agnes Irwin sixth-grader. Fleitas has backpacked through Spain, Austria, Switzerland and Germany, and last summer, participated in an African safari.

Villa Maria Academy's Anna Rago is Main Line Student of the Week - Oct. 7, 2018 To read the article on Anna Rago click here The Villa Maria Academy junior received Outstanding Achievement Awards in both science and math (algebra) and was recently nominated for the Liberty Museum and TD Bank’s Young Heroes Award. In college, she wants to study urban planning and nonprofit management with a focus on international urban planning and has taken an online class with a college in Singapore called Future Cities. Last summer, she traveled to Malawi, Africa (the third-poorest country in the world), for 18 days to work with Pamoza International, whose mission is to unite people in alleviating suffering and despair through Christian outreach and sustainable community development in the areas of education, entrepreneurship, agriculture and health. Rago has organized several fundraisers at Villa Maria for Pamoza International.

 Agnes Irwin's Caroline "Cookie" Quirk is Main Line Student of the Week (Nov. 6-12) To read the article on Cookie Quirk click here     A senior at Agnes Irwin School, Caroline “Cookie” Quirk is a National Merit Commended Scholar, and recently published an article in the Princeton Legal Journal titled “The High Stakes of Deepfakes: The Growing Necessity of Federal Legislation to Regulate this Rapidly Evolving Technology.” Quirk also serves on the school’s Discipline Committee, is a Student Tour Guide, and serves as a co-head of Mathletes as well as the Debate Club and the STEM Club. She is a writing center tutor, a member of Honor Council, and Digital Editor of the Wick, the school newspaper. She plays for Agnes Irwin’s squash team in the winter and rows crew in the spring.
