Episcopal Academy's Kevin Sporici is Main Line Student of the Week - December 8, 2019

Kevin Sporici, a senior at EA, was a Cum Laude Inductee and this fall won The Bowdoin College Book Award, which is awarded to the member of the rising VI Form who “demonstrates extraordinary service to the Common Good and an unusual passion for inquiry, discovery, and innovative thinking.” The summer before his junior year, at an internship at Jefferson University, Sporici conducted research and was co-author of a paper on GPR55-mediated effects on brain microvascular endothelial cells and the blood–brain barrier. He is active with EA’s Community Service program - volunteering with UCHC and tutoring students at ACLAMO. Sporici is on the varsity swim team, played the piano in the school orchestra, is a co-founder of the Entrepreneur Club, writes for the school newspaper the Scholium, and is the vice president of the Young Democrats club.
