Baldwin School's Anoushka Gidh is Main Line Student of the Week - Oct. 21, 2018

The Baldwin School senior embarked on a seven-day hike to Mt. Kilimanjaro last summer to raise funds for the More Than Me Academy in Liberia. Gidh is the senior head of Baldwin’s More than Me Club, which is working on raising $20,000 by the end of this school year to sponsor one of the 19 schools in Liberia.
In her sophomore and junior years, she presented research in the health and medicine category at the Montgomery County Science Research Competition, and last year finished third, moving onto the Delaware Valley Science Fair, where she won the Harrisburg University Science and Technology Scholar Award.
She is the co-editor in chief of the Baldwin Review, for which she has written about her research projects the past two summers at the University of Pennsylvania and at the Wills Eye Hospital.
She also competes on the Baldwin tennis and swimming teams and is a designer and photographer for PRISM, Baldwin’s yearbook. She is a member of Baldwin’s touring club (Lamplighters); Abacus Club, which tutors the lower schoolers in math and reading; Women on the Rise (Baldwin’s speaker series); Peer Counseling; and Modern Science Club.
