 Villa Maria Academy’s Ainsley Ingram is Main Line Student of the Week (May 19-25) To read the article on Ainsley Ingram click here A senior at Villa Maria, Ainsley Ingram is Co-President of the school’s Student Integrity Committee leader, and Senior Executive Leader of the school’s Mission and Ministry Outreach and Service. Through the Annenberg High School Symposium, she was part of a team that researched the diagnosis, symptoms, and treatment plans of Early Onset Alzheimer’s, and presented their findings to an esteemed panel of physicians. Ingram is also active in service learning projects at Villa Maria. In the summer of her sophomore year, she participated in a European study trip that included climbing the Eiffel Tower in Paris, farming tomatoes and  harvesting grapes in Tuscany, and island hopping throughout the Greek Isles. For her Capstone Project, she is researching the role that geotechnical engineering plays in the everyday safety of communities.

Episcopal Academy’s Lilian Wang is Main Line Student of the Week (May 12-18)

 Episcopal Academy’s Lilian Wang is Main Line Student of the Week (May 12-18) To read the article on Lilian Wang click here Lilian Wang, a junior at Episcopal Academy, recently earned first place in the regional round of PJAS (Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science) with her topic of Tangent Lines and Their Intersections on Elliptic Curves. She also competes on the Upper School robotics team, and is a competitive chess player and spends weekends at U.S. and international tournaments. Wang participated in the summer Lilley independent study program, and explored the norms of composition operators on linear functions. She also serves as a volunteer who teaches youths chess and a computer programming language.

 Agnes Irwin’s Samantha Pierce is Main Line Student of the Week (May 5-11) To read the article on Samantha Pierce click here A senior at Agnes Irwin School, Samantha Pierce has received several accolades from Agnes Irwin, including the Dorothy Haviland Nelson Latin Prize, the Heather Thiermann Writing Prize and the University of Chicago Book Award. She is an editor of The Wick, the school’s student-run newspaper, and is a leader of the K-Pop dance group. A National Merit Semi-Finalist, she has a passion for history – she will be majoring in history at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall — and a knack for languages, including Latin, Korean and Spanish.

Academy of Notre Dame’s Mary Kate Zaffarese is Main Line Student of the Week (April 28 – May 4)

 Academy of Notre Dame’s Mary Kate Zaffarese is Main Line Student of the Week (April 28 – May 4) To read the article on Mary Kate Zaffarese click here A senior at Academy of Notre Dame, Mary Kate Zaffarese is spearheading and directing the first student-run musical at Notre Dame this spring, assembling the production team and leading the production design. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is an Academy of Notre Dame Music Scholarship Recipient. She is a member of Notre Dame’s Women’s Chorale (WoCo). Zaffarese was selected to attend NSNDdeN High School Leadership Conference at Emmanual College last year, and was selected to perform with duet with Kristen Chenoweth as Elphaba in “For Good” at the Ocean City (N.J.) Music Pier in 2023.
