 The Shipley School’s Mia Jackson is Main Line Student of the Week (April 21-27) To read the article on Mia Jackson click here A senior at The Shipley School, Mia Jackson is co-founder and co-head of Shipley’s Model UN, and co-captain of the school’s debate team. She has taken all honors courses at Shipley for years, and has been a leader in ShipleyTV, writing and filming comedy skits for the past two years. A standout singer, dancer and actress, Jackson is starring in this year’s Upper School Musical, Sister Act, in the role of Deloris Van Cartier, and last year, she shined as Velma Kelly in Chicago. She is co-head of the Admissions Ambassador Program at Shipley, serving on student panels, speaking at open houses and featured in marketing videos, “Face of Shipley.” Jackson also consistently participates in service projects at Shipley.

 Merion Mercy Academy’s Cecilia Dorn is Main Line Student of the Week (April 14-20) To read the article on Cecilia Dorn click here A junior at Merion Mercy, Cecilia Dorn is a member of the Tri-M Music Honors Society and Math Honors Society, as well as the Blue Key Society. She belongs to two select singing groups: Sirens of Baggot Street and Melodies Of Heaven. Dorn also participates in Merion Mercy Music Theater, Image Explosion (school’s literary magazine), Handbells, Chorale and Orchestra. She also is a member of the school’s Vex Robotics team and Estream club.

 Villa Maria Academy’s Manasvi Koneru is Main Line Student of the Week (April 7-13) To read the article on Manasvi Koneru click here A senior at Villa Maria Academy, Manasvi Koneru is President of the school’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Club, was a Villa Maria Social Justice Day Presenter on Physical Disabilities, is a Physical Therapist Volunteer Assistant at Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital, and received the Bowdoin College Book Award for extraordinary service to the common good and unusual passion for inquiry, discovery and innovative thinking. She won first prize in the Chester County Science Fair last year in the Behavior & Social Science category for her experiment on “The Correlation Between Stress and Body Temperature.” Koneru is trained in Indian Classical Dance and is a teaching assistant volunteer at St. Patrick’s Parish in Malvern.

 The Grayson School’s Nick Ciongoli is Main Line Student of the Week (March 31-April 6) To read the article on Nick Ciongoli click here Nick Ciongoli has earned a Magna Cum Laude certificate on the National Latin Exam, and at the Best Delegate Model United Nations conference, he received an Honorable Mention for his outstanding presentation on clean energy, where he proposed innovative strategies to reduce reliance on coal and oil in favor of nuclear, hydroelectric, and liquid natural gas. He conducted significant research on the Fourth Amendment during his Democratic Discourse coursework. During a Yale summer program, he met a student from the UK who operates an international journal focused on combating media polarization and rewrote his essay for an international audience where it was published after editorial review. Ciongoli was selected as one of 10 American Fellows for the U.S. State Department’s Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellowship program, which allows young adults f...
